Hub of the Village wk2

Oh dear.... I'm afraid this just goes to show you what a very quiet place I'm living in these days.... yup folks, it's all happening here, not a soul to be seen, just a few birds flying over the church tower. And you wonder why I enjoy looking at your corners of the world so much?! Quite a dull day, I was glad of processing to brighten it up now that autumn is setting in.
Feigning interest, allow me to point out the red roses (behind the swanky car, parked no doubt for the pub and sadly not mine), the yew trees around the church (to ward off evil spirits), the benches situated overlooking the pond and next to the little area of wild flowers, sown in a so-natural rectangular area. Oh, and the Lych Gate, shelter for many a bridal/funeral party and pigeon....!
So grateful to you for your kind comments on my weekend shots - so sorry I've not caught up with all your shots but I will endeavour to do so asap.
I looks like a lovely place and I love the detailed description.

beautiful stone building. I am looking forward to seeing your autumn shots! Since the weather doesn't change much here in the winter, except for being rainier & a bit cooler in the winter, I don't get to really see the leaves change color & everything else that happens in the fall.

So, did you put a cross in position on the ground to give you some idea where to stand this week!! I think it'll be good to see how this changes again next week :o) xx

Hello, I'm here via your gorgeous sky shot on the PP, and have had a lovely browse of your work. Truly inspiring in your little part of the world (which in fact us outsiders find very interesting, though I understand that you probably don't!). I'm loving this whole Same September thing I see people doing - great idea and I'm following because I have to see your village again next week (and read your wonderful prose to accompany it)

@filsie65 Yup. I know Stoflold, Arlesey, Caldecote, Henlow, Biggleswade and Pulloxhill fairly well and you are but a stone's throw from the lot of them!
