P is for Stones

Slate and Geode to be precise! I've been out and about, visiting family and they all spent time looking for P shapes in stones for me. (It took some explaining as to why but they are used to me..) Got home and found this chunk of slate and this geode. Now can I bring myself to tell them....!!

Oh thank you one and all for your sweet comments and undeserved compliments on my O shot yesterday. There are indeed shots of my whole face somewhere here... but yes I do tend to hide behind the camera - I'm not the only one!! Enjoy your weekends :)
Impressive Phil! good one...:-)

P-retty cool shot! Do you know how long it takes to get to the center of a geode to see what the crystals look like inside? HOURS! And it takes more than one person to use a hammer on it! ... Very nicely Posed for Perfect P. Well done! :)

@seanoneill Hi Sean - just remembered your question.! Well yes I'm loosely planning them a couple of days ahead if I can. Like on this day I thought I'd get a bit of broken brick to make a P but couldn't find one so had to think again...Tomorrow I'm hoping to get a shot of a tyre track in the mud for W / earth (so it will probably snow) but no idea what to get for a Y-shaped Beatle on 25th! I'm still working on something pink and V-shaped for today. Much of the challenge has been how to portray some shots in B&W and how to add in a flash of red, sometimes a doddle sometimes not and that is nearly always unplanned...! Main thing really is getting to know my new camera which I think I'm doing. Next month perhaps I'll try to take a shot of something moving...!! :)
