Great excitement! At last the day had arrived to pick up our 'Big Tree Campervan' for our adventure. After finding out how to drive it (!) and doing the paperwork we were off.
We held on tight and navigated the little roads past the lochs and over the mountains, ignoring the ravines where the road dropped away and stopping for a cuppa whenever we fancied one - generally taking our time following our noses. We climbed up and up, and stopped at the top of Glen Croe, at a point known as 'rest and be thankful.' The kids decided to climb to an even higher point and I rested in the little campervan trying out the zoom lens which George had found. (long story). He absolutely loved this shot of the raindrops on the reedy-grass in front of the view down the valley, so it's the one I'm posting for today; so many of the shots were of wonderful views over water it will perhaps make a change to have the shot of the water over the view!
A shot taken slightly higher, over the grass and down the valley is on album #2, http://365project.org/filsie65/just-stuff/2013-08-07
Chuffed to bits with all your comments and views on my little Scottish uploads, thank you all.
