I was sitting there after a glass of mulled wine / witches' brew, and suddenly this swarm of firefly fairies flew through.... (See it large for confirmation).
Either that or it was Mary Lou & BM's influence at doing bokeh through shapes. I cut out a microscopic triangle... can see how it works but still don't understand it. Nice to have played and tried it though. Thanks for the pointers BM & Mary Lou!

@allred This one was your influence! Was so far from perfect it hurt but I actually quite liked it! :) Hope you're having a super time.
My attempts at cutting tiny triangles out of a tiny circle of card with a sharp knife nearly had me cutting my fingers to shreds - I would post a photo of the 'filter' I used but don't think the macro will pick it up! My lens is less than 1cm diameter so detail like yours and BM's I shall leave to you experts! :)
