I had a day out in Birmingham as I had a job interview and decided to have a look around the city. This is a late afternoon shot of Victoria Square, which you can access directly from Birmingham New Street Station (if you pick the right exit!). It houses both the Town Hall and the Council House, both of which are very impressive buildings too. The square was officially opened by Princess Diana in 1994.
This is the first picture on our family project, and feedback and comments will be very welcome - Lucy

What I like about Birmingham New Street is that if you get the wrong exit, you might well end up in the shopping centre ;) - Lucy

@malc Thanks Malc. Yes there is a water feature just off this shot and it had a rather strange statue-y thing in it. According to the info I read, when Princess Diana went to open the square they hid that water feature from her view! - Lucy
