Soaring in the clouds

This weathervane is on top of our local Tescos, of all places! But there is a good reason. Tescos is on the site of Clifton airfield where RAF York was based from 1936 to 1955. There are a few reminders of the base in our local area. Many of the street names are aviation-related (Hurricane Way, Aviator Court, etc), and near us is the old turning circle for the planes. - Lucy
