The star of the Show! by fishers

The star of the Show!

York seems to have become a popular setting for period drama filming, with shows such as 'Death Comes to Pemberley' and 'Eternal Law' being partly filmed here.

The latest film crews arrived in York this week to make a pilot called 'Knifeman' (about an eighteenth century surgeon who unofficially harvests human organs), with scenes being filmed in the Shambles, and Ogleforth. Here I show some of those involved in the production, and if the queues of those wanting to take photos is any guide, the cow was the most popular star of the show!

Three of the minor characters are also shown in this collage and the man at the bottom right was setting up a drone camera.

@bruni Thanks Bruni. I'm not sure what the cow thought of being taken from there to a street called The Shambles. It was the medieval street of the butchers. Katharine
