Brick Wall Vultures by fishers

Brick Wall Vultures

On the occasions when I catch a bus to the railway station in Sheffield after visiting my parents, I pass these magnificent Vultures, who sit above a car park near Sheffield Hallam University ,on Eyre Street.

This wall was commissioned by Sheffield City Council in 1980 and was designed by Ric Bingham, from the Landscape and Planning Department.

The wall is now regarded as a work of art but it is not thought to have been commissioned as one.

A great find and capture. for not being commissioned as a piece of art, it certainly could classify for it.

@pittcj17 I agree, they are cool, but I have no idea what they signify and can't find any further info about them. perhaps he just liked the film "Jungle Book". They remind me of the Vultures in that film. Katharine
