Cycle surprise by fishers

Cycle surprise

The Tour de Yorkshire cycle race, held each year in May, had a route decorated with old bikes painted yellow and blue. This is one of the survivors from last year in a small garden near the centre of Pickering. It has been given a new coat of paint with a Spring / Easter theme and is quite a bold addition to the scene.

@carolmw @seattlite @pyrrhula @stevepam @bkbinthecity Thank you all for your comments and favs, they are appreciated!

It won't be long before the yellow and blue bikes begin to appear again for this years Tour de Yorkshire cycle race. Now that estimated times and maps of the routes have been published I can start to plan where I might go to watch and photograph it.

I remember all the yellow bikes when I was there in July 2014

@kjarn Thank you Kathy - Yorkshire was full of yellow bikes in 2014 for the Tour de France, which was such a success that each year since then there has been a Tour de Yorkshire, with yellow and blue bikes. Hopefully I will be able to get some shots at this years race in a few weeks time.
