Country Lane

Part of the disused railway between York and Selby has been converted to a cycle track, but from just north of Riccall the track bed is used as a new road which avoids the heart of several villages. Just south of Riccall, this scene is taken on what was part of the old main road. Today it only gives access to a pumping station.

Having learned a little more about Riccall as I was documenting my photos, I realise that there were a number of photo opportunities that I missed, so I expect to make another trip there soon.
