There's a clue in the titles of these DVD's - yes, the Isle of Man is for me the place that I would most like to be. For many years we had holidays there, but have not been since 2010, and I really miss it - the friendly people, the super landscapes, the vintage transport. At least the DVD's, along with my many photos, provide a visual memory.
Love the railway series. I`ve visit more places and cities in Gr. Br. than I can remember but never been on the Isle of Man.
Thanks for you so nice comment and fav.
My parents, my elder brother and I, a babe in arms, moved to the Isle of Man in 1950. I couldn't agree you with more, the Isle of Man is a very special place and continues to endear many, rightly so! Whilst I haven't lived in the Isle of Man for 30 years, I visited my mother and my younger brother regularly. Mum died in 2012, Michael, suddenly in March last year. We've sold his house and effects.
Fortunately R loves the IOM too; plans are afoot to continue visits.
Thank you for your lovely comments, they are valued.
If you haven't visited the Isle of Man I can highly recommend it, with a lovely coast (I should know since I've walked the 96 mile coastal path), fascinating historical sites and stunning landscape. Perhaps one day quite soon it will be possible for me to visit again.

Last month I posted family photos that go back to my father's childhood and trace the Sherlock family's adventures from Sheffield to the Isle of Man.
