One of the footpaths that enters Hutton-le-Hole from the east used to pass through a small area of derelict land beside the bowling green. Over recent years the area has been tidied up, the rubble removed and a wildflower area created. There are also two benches, and it is a lovely quiet spot away from the main tourist area around the village green.
Two types of apple tree have also been planted there. One has already lost almost all of it's blossom, but the other, shown here, still retains much of its blossom, although it is past it's best.
Thank you all for your comments and favs, which put this shot on the popular page.
It was interesting that this apple tree still had some blossom, while it's neighbour had lost all its blossom.
