Another duck, this time in the form of a weather vane, in the south Lincolnshire village of Hanthorpe. I spent yesterday looking round the two villages of Hanthorpe and Morton, and found some attractive old buildings, a fascinating church, and a railway station building beside a railway that closed around 60 years ago, but my favourite shot of the day was this weather vane duck. Who could resist it's smiling face?
I'm not sure I understand the preference for a flying duck over an old railway station, but, anyway, this is an interesting find. And it did make me smile.
Thank you all for your comments, they are appreciated.
I did find this quite a novelty, in what was a quite interesting pair of villages that have now joined to become one.
The railway station building came a close second, but sadly some of the modifications to it had rather spoilt it's character.
