This was an earlier part of the walk recorded in yesterdays photo. Here I'm following a path northward through Kirkdale Wood, a couple of miles west of Kirkbymoorside and to the north of St Gregory's Minster, which featured in our project last month ( http://365project.org/fishers/365/2019-05-14 ).
It was a warmer day than it has been recently, so it was nice to walk below the shade of the trees and to enjoy the variety of plant and animal life there.
Well, I'm totally thrilled by the comments and favs on this shot. I think this has had the biggest response of any of the posts we've done since we restarted our project in March - thank you all!
One of the nice things about this walk was the variety of landscapes it passed through - cultivated land, sheep pasture, woodland and moorland, with some attractive views and interesting wildlife. I'm glad to be able to share glimpses of it with you.
