Hole Beck flows from Spaunton Moor and south through the village of Lastingham. This shot shows the footpath leading down to the beck and the ford across it. The wall to the right of the footpath marks the edge of the moorland, with farmland to the right of it.
At the top of the hill, hidden by the tree is a memorial bench, one of the places I regularly have a break as I approach the finish of my walk in Hutton le Hole, from where I can catch the Moorsbus back to York.
@vignouse Thank you Richard - but sadly the photos of the Moors will soon have to pause, since the Moorsbus service that gets me there will finish at the end of the month, until spring 2020.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated!
Hopefully more photos to come from the Moors after another trip this weekend.
