Horses

York has escaped serious flooding so far this winter, but there have been a few local areas of flood water. Here two horses are on a grassy rise in their partially flooded paddock here in Clifton. I'm not sure why they chose to stand here when most of the paddock wasn't flooded.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, which put this shot on the Popular Page.

For those of you wondering what the horses were saying or thinking, I suspect they were wondering why they didn't have a nice warm and dry stable!

Katharine and I went to the hospital yesterday so they could check her out, and they seemed quite happy with her progress. It is going to take a considerable time for Katharine to get back to her normal level of fitness, but at the moment she is going in the right direction.
