This corner of Kings Square is one of the ways into the Shambles. The person with the red top is at the north end of the Shambles.
The area of Kings Square once housed a church with a narrow alley leading to the Shambles. This part is what remains of that alley. The church was demolished around 1930 and the whole area paved. It is quite popular with street artists, though at the moment much of the area is occupied by a large roundabout, as part of the Christmas market.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Katharine is making slow progress. She had an appointment with her GP yesterday, which is the first time she has been out since coming home from hospital. She enjoyed being outside, despite the cold and wind.
