Still at Bankfield Museum in Halifax, and a special display of period costumes from TV dramas.
Calderdale (the area westwards from Halifax) has become a popular film location in recent years, with programmes like Last Tango in Halifax, Gentleman Jack, Happy Valley, To Walk Invisible, Peterloo and Ackley Bridge filmed in the area.
The costumes in this collage of the display are from Death Comes to Pemberley (top left), Pride and Prejudice (bottom left), Gentleman Jack (centre), To Walk Invisible (top right), Downton Abbey and Poldark (bottom right).
Not all of these were filmed in Yorkshire, but three were, and another had some filming in Yorkshire for the cinema version.

I was pleased to catch this exhibition. I've seen a simular display in York, but this was particularly interesting because there was a lot of background information about the costumes and programmes they are from.
It's interesting that the only costume you have specifically mentioned is the wet shirt of Mr Darcy (Pride and Prejudice). While looking at the display several women who were there also commented on the wet shirt.
Richard, an interesting if faintly unpleasant topic - I suspect that in the past hygiene standards and expectations were rather lower!
