My grandchildren and I had a walk in Bourne Woods yesterday afternoon. Lots of signs of autumn, so I took quite a few photos. As we wandered on the various paths (getting only slightly lost), we found quite a number of these shelters. The children were particularly impressed with this one, since it had a log to sit on. They made good use of it while studying the orienteering map of the woodland to find our way back towards the entrance.
Please note, this is not where I've been spending the night!
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
There were probably about 12 to 15 of these shelters that we found, presumably created by scouts or local school children. My grandchildren loved finding them and looking inside.
Lots of fun here
Maybe next time, bring along a picnic lunch to enjoy in one of the huts
