Katharine and I had a lovely walk to the Homestead Park this afternoon, and one of my favourite displays of autumn colour can now be seen in this Canadian Maple tree.
From the first signs of it turning red to it being fully red seems to take months, then there are a few glorious days before all the leaves fall. We managed to see it in all it's glory today.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
This tree is particularly attractive at the moment. Sadly the rain and wind forecast for this weekend will probably mean it loses many of its leaves in the next couple of days. It was nice to see this Canadian Maple at its best on a sunny but cool day.
gorgeous colors-it's the simple things, isn't it? A quiet walk with a loved one, the brilliance of the changing season, a park bench. I'm happy to hear that it must be Katharine is feeling much better. fav
Thank you Lizzy, Katharine is much better, though still not quite back to normal. It is lovely to have a walk in the park and enjoy such scenes as this. If nothing else Covid-19 restrictions have made us appreciate our local area in a new way. I hope that you are well.

Thank you both - it is a lovely park to enjoy autumn colours. We had sat on several of the benches in the park as we walked round!
