Well, here we are in December, the radio is full of Christmas songs, but in my garden is this reminder of summer. I thought our white rose had decided to hibernate for the winter, but then this solitary flower appeared.

Not quite sure how this rose managed to bloom, we have had rose buds on other bushes but usually it has rained and they have become waterlogged and not flowered. It was so cheering to see this one flower.
