A view looking in the opposite direction to yesterday's shot, and here I am stood in the end of Little Shambles, which gives access to the outdoor market.
Something of the wooden structure of the building can be seen in the building on the right, and below the lower windows on the let the shelves where butchers would display their produce can be seen.
I'm always disappointed by the low key Christmas decorations in the Shambles, since it would be suitable for quite dramatic displays between the buildings.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
In many ways York is best explored after dark, when there are fewer visitors and some of the buildings are floodlit.

Thank you Bri - the Shambles is a great place for photos, especially now when it is quite quiet.
