This roundabout has been a feature of the lead-up to Christmas in York for quite a few years, and it's location has changed over that time. This year it is at the south end of Parliament Street. There were not many people around, and few were having a ride on it. I used to love these rides as a child.
I should add that we have been very careful and Covid-19 safe on our trips out. The buses into town are almost empty and there are relatively few people on the streets. Covid-19 cases in York have dropped considerably since the start of the lockdown, so it is lovely to enjoy the city centre while it is quiet.

To be honest, I was surprised to find this roundabout in York this year, with the Christmas market cancelled, and the Covid-19 pandemic, but the lack of people around it made taking photos so much easier!
