These photos were taken by our daughter Lucy during a walk with our 3 year old grandaughter. Our grandaughter is at that never-ending questions stage, and is really interested in gaining a full understanding of bluebells. From the extracts that Lucy posted to us on Facebook, I have reconstructed our grandaughter's side of the conversation:
"Ooh mummy, look, bluebells!
Why are some bluebells pink and some white?
What do you call white bluebells?
What do you call pink bluebells?
Why are they called bluebells when they are really more purple?
Why are they called bells when they don't ring?
Ooh look mummy, these bluebells have stripes.
Why do some bluebells have stripes?"
After which Lucy probably needed a lie down in a darkened room!
Haha what a cute one way conversation! Children who ask many questions are deemed to be very clever. Beautiful collage and sweet bluebells, or are they pink bluebells, or white bluebells? I am confused now.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Our grandaughter loves exploring the world around her, and is always learning something new. She can remember things too. We are looking forward to seeing her again when circumstances allow. She will have grown up a lot since we last saw her face to face in August 2020 (though we do regularly share video calls).

Thank you Vesna. Children of her age often have lots of questions, and it is good to encourage them to have an enquiring mind.
