Another shot of a flower in my mums garden, and this time it is a Queen Elizabeth rose. Dad planted quite a few of these since they form a nice boundary hedge.
Later, when I got a house he grew more of these rose bushes from cuttings and we have a row of them along our boundary. Sadly, this year we have had a poor display of flowers, but mum has a lovely display, and this is one of them.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
My mum is still in hospital, a week after her fall, and looks likely to be there a little while yet, though I understand she is in good spirits. Hoping for more of an update after my brother visits her tonight.
Although there are lovely things in her garden, it has suffered from neglect during the pandemic, and it will need a lot of hard work to begin restoring it to its former glory.
