Angel Rays by fishers

Angel Rays

This shot is from our daughter Louise, following a trip that she and her family had to the coast last weekend. They had a trip to the beach at the village of Heacham on the east side of the Wash, and south of Hunstanton. They are getting to know a number of the coastal villages in the north of East Anglia, but Heacham seems to be a favourite at the moment.

She referred to the sun’s rays in the shot as ‘Angel Rays’ a term that I hadn’t heard before, but one which I like. They are more technically known as Crepuscular rays.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, Louise is absolutely thrilled with your response.

She told me the following about where she had heard of Angel Rays - 'I heard Angel Rays from a film with Pierce Brosnan in it, called Evelyn. It said that the suns rays shining through a cloud like that were your Guardian Angel watching over you. I've always liked that thought.'
