A photo from our daughter Lucy today, and it is her son discovering the delights of bubbles. Not quite one year old, he is fascinated with the world around him.
It is quite amazing how popular bubbles are. When our other daughter Louise was 18 months old we had a four hour journey on a ferry to the Isle of Man, and we had several small toys to keep her entertained, but the most popular was the bubbles. Standing on the open deck of the ferry, she could create bubbles without having to blow. So, not only was she entertained, but so were a lot of other young children on the ship!
It has been an interesting first year for Asa, with all the various Covid-19 restrictions affecting what Lucy can do. Katharine and I have not been able to visit as we would like, but at least we have the technology to have video calls. We have had a chat this afternoon with Lucy and her children, and Asa now seems to have mastered the technology - he managed to call his other grandad at 7am this morning!
So, here he is, sat in their front garden totally absorbed in the cloud of bubbles around him.
He’s a cutie, lovely capture, bubbles are always magic !.
Thank goodness for video calls, we too have been so thankful for a portal to keep us in touch with our two youngest grandchildren.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
It is a joy to see the photos and videos that Lucy sends us, and to enjoy the wideo calls we have with them. This morning we got a lovely video clip of him practicing saying hat and head. He has been trying to put his hat on and take it off again. The way children learn is quite fascinating.
