Beside one of the paths from the side of Rawcliffe Lake into the housing estates is a low shrub with these attractive berries. It's the only bush of it's type that I've seen in the area, and at the moment I'm struggling to identify it.
If anyone knows what it is, I would love to know. In the meantime I'll just enjoy it's attractiveness.
Symphoricarpos chenaultii. Great close up.
(Easy to find ,. When you click on the pic. Right hand side of the mouse you get the line : search with Google lens . Often you get a pic. of the simmilair subject)
Great close up shot. Blooms already show signs of the beauty that is to follow. Pyrrhula is an expert on the subject and I take it for granted that he is right.

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
Thank you too for your suggestions about what the berry is. I had used an online plant identifier and just got confused by it's various suggestions.

Thank you Paul. I've seen them in other places since I took this shot - so not as rare as I thought.
