here's the young summerfield, circa 30-some years ago, driving in the streets of muscat, the sultanate of oman. well, not actually driving, but stopped at an intersection. i was driving a friend's car as he was driving another friend's truck to be brought to the dealership for repairs.
p.s. i wasn't a bad driver, when you re-learn how to drive in another country you get to be a really good defensive driver. now about those *h****e drivers....
@grammyn - not terrified. i was actually bitching at the guy holding my camera; was telling him if he dropped it i'd have all his limbs and extensions cut off.😀
@northy - yup! when you drive in the middle east, it's de rigeur or you burn your hands if you're parked outside. i think i was the only idiot who drove around without one; i wore gloves during the day when i drove.
