17th July 2019

It was a dim, grey day with headache and in middle of silly season (we call it cucumber season in Polish!), where coming to work in empty office for sake of coming to work starts to get super mundane (and I really do like my work, just maybe not when there is almost nothing to do)

I decided we go 40 minutes before sunset to do our usual route to check where are all roe deer, white-tailed deer and moose. We met this guy lying down in a ditch next to the road, enjoying shade, hidden in plants. And all was fine, but Fiance wanted to backup a little bit, he did put gear on and car made "beeeeeeeeep". That was too much for moose unfortunately (I should keep using word elk, they're called elk in British English, no idea why even if I was taught British English in school, that animal is "moose" not "elk" to me) and he got up and moved a bit farther for his own comfort.
Lovely shot

I like the angle of his head and that great eye contact.
