... are the lock gates into the River Severn. These people were crossing and it looks like the canal and river are level but on the other side of the gates there was a really big drop. It made my legs turn to jelly when I walked across. Looks better on black.
Had to look long and hard at this to match your commentary to what I see. Im not sure how comfortable I would be walking across either but the rails look secure and strong. Nice shot.
