Poppies: Weeping Window

A shopping trip to Hereford yesterday with friends. It was dry in the morning but raining by the time we got to Hereford Cathedral but still amazing to see this display of poppies.

@thistle It's worth it Joyce. If you get chance, there's a small exhibition of artwork and writing by children from local schools inside, all about war, that's worth a look. Think it's there until 29th April.

@ingajohansson Hi Inga. The poppies are a symbol of remembrance starting from the end of the First World War. There was a huge staging of these at the Tower of London a couple of years ago with one poppy for each fallen soldier. People were able to buy one of the ceramic poppies and others have toured the country like these. There 5,500 here.
