LOVE mushroom shots.....and yes it is definitely poisonous. When I did my Mushroom Mania theme a couple of weeks back, I learnt so much about mushrooms, including the poisonous ones!!
Well, I take back the color comment - Amanita caesarea is red and edible. But I wouldn't eat any Amanita. The poisonous ones can cause liver failure. Here's a quote from Wikipedia: "Although a few species of Amanita are edible, many fungi experts advise against eating a member of Amanita unless the species is known with absolute certainty.[4] Because so many species within this genus are so deadly toxic, if a specimen is identified incorrectly, consumption may cause extreme sickness and possibly death."
