Dad and the kids out walking

I was excited to capture this emu with the young ones, but disappointed not to have seen them younger when their baby stripes are more pronounced. A few of these babies still have stripes growing out. Taken by the side of the road on the way to work this morning. (I also nearly ran over a koala, but didn't recover quickly enough to get his photo)

Nice shot. One of the things I love about 365 is getting to see the different wildlife from all parts of the world. Imagine how excited Id be to see emus and a Koala on the way to work! But then I've had people sadly bemoan the fact that they don't get the red cardinals where they live, and they are quite common around here.
