At least I think that is what it is. I loved the big eyes and the patterns in the black and white. It is a range of browns and cream usually

It looks very similar to what we used to call a Dikkop but now called a Thick Knee but please don't quote me on that at all!! The eyes are beautiful, love the position of the head too.

We saw alot of these curlews in North Queensland. Do they exist in South Australia as I have not seen any as yet?

So THAT'S what a curlew is! It's mentioned in one of the verses of "Home on the Range" and I'd never heard of it before, nor seen one till now! I love this image, especially the way the head is cocked. Fav.
