Oh. Makes me think of the Catacombs in Paris. Interesting stuff!

@graemestevens Not Capuchin, but close. Franciscans established the site in 1224. In the 14th century it became part of a palace. In the 16th century the King gave a chapel to the Third Order of the Penance of St. Francis. They sourced the bones from the associated cemetery(s?).

@olenadole Yes. Such use of bones was to remind the faithful that life is temporary but the spirit is eternal.
@darylo Until I'm jaded, or run out of photo ideas, I will continue to seek them.

@fotoblah Yes. I have a fascination for these places. An incredible, although macabre piece of history!
