@robz I'm glad you found interest. I developed it with enough lightness in the shadows to reward examining them.

Bologna! My Italian City! I'm there every year. And yes, you captured the feeling of the porticos and shadows well, although I didn't see the bicyclist until I read your tags. I wonder if you'd want to lift shadows a bit to show that person? But then you'd lose the drama of the contrasting light. Hmm . . .

@jyokota I tried lightening the shadows, but didn't like it competing with the arches and sunlit areas as to where the eye would first go. I enjoyed Bologna. If I go to Italy again, I'd either arrive, depart or do both there.

@fotoblah -- I can see what you mean -- and I didn't even look for the bicyclist until I saw it on your list of tags. I'm always in Bologna in late March/early April so if you go back then, let me know - it would be fun to meetup and do a photowalk!
