Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner by foxes37

Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner

Each spring the horse chestnut leaves are fresh and normal. Gradually the leaves become mottled due to the leaf miner which for the last couple of decades has had its wicked way and destroyed the appearance.
That’s such a shame. I hadn’t heard of it.

@susiemc - it does not seem to be fatal. Conkers still appear each year, although I don't know if over time trees die. So far, all the ones we see are fine still.
