It was so early this morning when we went out and about with Lucy (bless her heart for providing us with such a combination of duty and opportunity) that the sun had not yet quite risen. But on the way back it was light enough for me to pose on a milkweed pod.
Mr. Pig - but did you know you are standing on milkweed? It is so necessary for the Monarch Butterfly's survival, but it is also deadly toxic for sheep.
That puts me in a real bind so I let it grow in cattle pasture but pull it with a vengeance in the sheep pasture and hope the butterflies are smart enough to go looking for cows!
