Yes there had to be one like this among the 30 shots. I finally turned a bed and planted some lettuce and spinach. Have never had any success with spinach. We'll see what happens this year. I think the other beds should be done with the tiller, not by hand, though, because some weed has established itself that has the thickest root mat imaginable. I probably should have scraped off the entire top layer rather than even try to break it up.
Looks like rich soil. I do my little flower garden by hand. It's hard work for me and I end up not doing as good a job as is really needed, and have weeds growing all through my garden.
