Did you catch my best side? by fueast

Did you catch my best side?

A day of little excitement but I did catch this blackbird posing on the wall. Otherwise frustrating meetings with students who are struggling to fully engage and a fall out with Bessie who has become obsessed with other people's ball games which led to an annoying delay at the basketball pitch. Freedoms will have to be curtailed I think.
Fab blackbird on a very photogenic wall. Poor Bessie - it’s a shame doggy agility/dancing/flyball etc are off at the mo.

@judithg hmm well some sympathy for me would be nice. I looked a right twit chasing her round the court. in the end I decided to go home and once I'd got out of sight she followed. Not text book stuff...

This is wonderful. Such a great closeup and lovely background.
I have been watching dogs behaving badly on TV with this very dapper chap called Graham. Joining in with other peoples games would be small fry for him but it’s amazing seeing how he solves such issues

@lucycameron yes I'm watching that too. But you do wonder what happens after he's gone home...

My daughter is drowning in too much work assigned by the professors; 26-page reports and midterms at the same time, group projects. She says it's not hard work, just too much work. I do hope we get some balance soon before she falls down from exhaustion.

@darylo I've been setting the same type of course work in this module for more than 10 years. Each year the students seem to find it harder but in essence it hasn't changed... Actually I think it's other pressures that have changed and not so much the work itself.

Beautiful. I like the yellow ring around the eye.

@fueast I have realised (mostly watching Graham) just how reliant we were on Monty’s obsession with hoops when he was young and selectively deaf. I averted many a disaster by yelling ‘HOOPS’. Looked like I had some control but if I ever forgot the hoops I was in trouble.

@judithg I probably need to get some or a Frisbee type thing. She's quite good at catching rope toys in the house.

@fueast it just depends on the Prof. and comfort with online format. One of my daughter's prof was one who resisted the Canvas Learning Platform and is still delivering the modules/content via email, then forgets to send it all without adjusting deadlines for proper management of work load. Daughter had all As but opted to drop 2 classes today just to keep sanity. I think that was best. Tough year on everyone.

@darylo yep. Been a lot more work for me, recording lectures and preparing interactive materials but we got good feedback from last semester so I was relieved.

@fueast that's great! And now you have it to store away and re-release should you need it!

Our first dog would never come when I called her. I had to pretend to fall down and then she’d come over to make sure I was OK. And then there was the day when I was pregnant with an ankle to crotch cast and she somehow got out of the fence and across a dangerous street in Baltimore , Md. she ran into a school yard. I limped across the street with my crutches and pregnant belly and went into the school yard and called her desperately. The kids just laughed. Hard memory even 55 years later!
