Hawthorn by fueast

Hawthorn

Ordinarily I prefer a wind tortured Hawthorn in winter, but they also produce some nice spring flowers which deserve a show. Spotted on a walk to Paul's Pond this morning. For some reason I feel quite done in this afternoon. Anyway, letter of support from the Council arrived 1 minute before I needed to leave the house after further chasing so the proposal is in! Phew. Probably no better than a 1/10 chance but that's life these days.
Ooh difficult to tell from the pic, they're so similar. Have a look at https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2019/04/hawthorn-and-blackthorn-difference/

Well it’s very lovely. I think the country is tired - ready for Easter - I had to remind Nigel he’s had hardly any holiday all year.
