Lone tree in Lancashire by fueast

Lone tree in Lancashire

What a fab day. Traveled just across the border into Lancashire to meet some friends for a walk and we were rewarded with some gorgeous sun and blue skies. We detoured up this hill for the views which stretched for miles across to Pen-Y-Ghent that you can just see in the far distance on the right. Bonus features are the lone tree and sheep in the field. Felt much more like normal life, including an ice cream on the canal at the end.
Good old Lancashire! Looks like home Alison.....not just as rugged as your beloved Yorkshire but you are a Lancashire lass so must still love it! Fabulous views!

Looks stunning! I tend to get my Lancashire countryside fixes from Patrick Grant (as in Sewing Bee) on Instagram (& @happypat obviously!) so it’s nice to have an extra!

@happypat @judithg maybe I shouldn't say then that most of this view is probably Yorkshire even though we're standing on Lancashire soil. I am happy to see both from the same viewpoint.
