Violet passes through Saltaire

Back on board today and actually did a bit of work opening lock gates and the like between Saltaire and Bingley. Colder than it looked. Here you see the boat passing through Salts mill which was owned by Titus Salt who was known for being one of the lesser evil industrialists. It now hosts the David Hockney collection. Great place to visit when it's open.
None of you have any hats on....well only one of you...must be quite bitter on the canal there....lovely traveling like that though....lots to see!

That’s a top tip - I like a bit of old industrial architecture as well.

Wonderful to be out on the water again I’m sure. My brother is looking forward to being able to set off for his voyage, he lives on his narrow boat!

@365anne ah so does my friend Carolyn. She is certainly glad to finally escape the city.

love this kind of shot. The canal leads you into the picture and the architecture kind of sends you back in time,

Great shot. Also like your description of Titus Salt, the bookshop there is one of my favourite.
