Today we planted our sweet pea plants. The first year we tried we were very successful but last year was nowhere near as good. There was plenty of fresh goodness in the soil but we think nearby plants may have grown and caused shade. This year we've tried a new spot in the front garden. We'll have to keep an eye on them. When successful these provide cut flowers all summer long and, of course, they smell great. This is a very unflattering photo of the day we planted them.
