These plants like sun. We totally failed in our back garden but are highly successful in the front where they get plenty of sun. They self seed easily so if you have 1 it can easily become 10!! Once established, they can be hard to get rid of. Apparently it is best to cut them right down once they've flowered to stop the seeds spreading.
