Cormorants and seagulls seem to spend most of their time sat on the top of poles, watching the world go by. As they rest and bask in the sun, I wonder what they think of the antics of humans who seem to invent ever-new ways to expend energy.
I like the story told by the photo! The image captures something I've noted often kayaking - "wildlife" absolutely watches humans. The wide view of the ocean horizon and relative smallness of the critters is part of why it works so well.
