Southport pier by gamelee

Southport pier

Opened in August 1860, it is the oldest iron pier in the country. Its length of 1,108 m (3,635 ft) makes it the second-longest in Great Britain.
I'm a great fan of piers - this one is very impressive.

Fabulous photo of Southport pier. I grew up in Southport. My father and his friend used to take a daily walk to the end and back.
