These are the remains of a farmhouse known as Old Rachel's. It was compulsory purchased by Liverpool corporation in the very early 1900s, not much of the surrounding has changed, except for the trees they wouldn't have been there. The silvery line on the horizon is the Irish Sea.
Fancy living up there...such a hard life with no facilities to speak of...no wonder it’s derelict but a stunning walk for you. High up in the fresh air....no virus up there!

I'm not usually in the habit of replying to comments, but, I just thought I would reply and thank you all for taking the time to view and leave a comment. I didn't mention in my description of this image but you may be interested to know that the last residents of this farm were my great great grandparents in 1911, they had five children at the time. water from a nearby stream, and certainly no gas, electric or internet!
