Peewet Hall. by gamelee

Peewet Hall.

The remains of peewet hall. The first recorded residents were in 1757, Peewet Hall, had 21 acres of land.
A Peewet is an old name for a Lapwing, and there are still many of these birds around today.
Beautiful landscape around these ruins, and an awesome sky to showcase them. Excellent image.

Such a view - a lovely landscape - My late father always called lapwings "peewit " so I always assumed it was a Welsh name for them , and he would tell me it resembled their call !
